Prevention Central is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1993. Originally created to address the disproportionate representation of minorities in the juvenile justice system, our mission has since broadened to include Family Reunification Services, Prevention Programs, Family Strengthening, Emergency Food Pantry, Parenting, and Neighborhood Empowerment.

We are dedicated to supporting disadvantaged youth and families in Broward County and the Treasure Coast. Our Prevention Programs are designed to offer hope and create pathways for brighter futures, helping to build stronger, more resilient communities. Through proactive intervention and support, we aim to reduce the risk factors that contribute to juvenile justice involvement and enhance the overall well-being of our participants.

In addition to our prevention efforts, we provide Family Strengthening and Empowerment Programs that foster positive change and personal growth. By addressing the root causes of adversity, we empower individuals and families to overcome challenges and thrive.

We distribute over 20,000 food packets annually to low and moderate-income families in Broward County and the Treasure Coast, offering essential support to those in need. Our employability skills training and parenting classes further equip our community members with the tools they need for success.

At Prevention Central, our commitment is to offer help, hope, and healing. We strive to uplift and support those who need it most, creating opportunities for lasting positive change and a brighter future for all.
